The Income Curator - Cultural sector Lucy Woodridge

Events & Experiences Consultancy and Coaching

About me

I'm Lucy Woodbridge - a consultant and qualified business coach working exclusively with cultural and heritage organisations. I spent fifteen years building and leading events and experiences programmes inside some of the UK's most visited institutions, including the Natural History Museum, Imperial War Museums, and UNICEF UK. I now work independently, bringing that senior in-house experience directly to organisations and people that need it.

I work in two ways. I help organisations develop, improve and grow their events and experiences commercially. And I work with people across the sector - brought in by senior leaders when someone in their team needs focused outside support.

For people across cultural and heritage organisations, at any level and in any role. I'm brought in by senior leaders when someone in their team needs support - and sometimes directly by the people who need it themselves.

Client Testimonials

Hidden London

We wanted to bring in some external support and expertise in commercial events for the family market to help us shape a Hidden London family offering. Lucy came highly recommended, and after initial discussions, and a brief, provided us with a really comprehensive set of options on how we could shape our existing products. She brought bags of invaluable market insight, along with great themes and ideas which we've been able to use as the basis for some family experiences to pilot.

I would really recommend Lucy for anyone looking for a consultant who brings relevant experience and a wonderful can-do attitude.

Ollie Burton, Head of Hidden London

UNICEF UK

Lucy asks the right questions, gently challenges assumptions, and creates space to think clearly in the middle of complex, high-pressure situations.

Steve Gardam

Speaking with Lucy over just three sessions was instrumental in revealing and unpacking some sticking points I needed to address to move ahead with confidence. With Lucy's help, I did.

Commercial Solutions

A consultant built inside the sector

I began my career at the RAF Museum, building the public events programme from scratch as a team of one. From there I moved to the Natural History Museum, where the events programme I led doubled its profits within three years. At Imperial War Museums I built a commercial department from scratch across five sites, led a team of over twenty people, set an £8m turnover target and hit it, and grew departmental profits from £300,000 to £2m over five years.

I'm also a qualified business coach, trained at the Møller Institute at Cambridge University. That combination - fifteen years of senior in-house experience and a formal coaching qualification - is what I bring to every engagement.
